From Partition of the property of his mother. "Portion of land fronting on St. Louis Street, measuring F.M. 28' front on St. Louis by 60' of depth, being the side nearest the river, on which is a three-story brick store having three doors on St. Louis Street and undivided rights to a common alleyway. The said store is now occupied by Messrs. Follain, Bellocq and Degelos."

Inventory of Mme. Catherine Villere Paillet. "A lot of land... on St. Louis, between Chartres and Old Levee, measuring F.M. 56' on St. Louis by 60' of depth, on which are found two stores built of brick, the one nearest the river being occupied by Messrs. Follain, Bellocq and Degelos."

Succession of Mme. Catherine Villere Paillet. Died August 1, 1839.

Will of Mme. Catherine Villere Paillet. States that her husband's succession was never inventoried nor partitioned and that I "owe besides to my three children, Manette, Josephine, and Pedro Noel Paillet, a sum of $4,200 which has been used by them to build for the community a two-story brick house on a portion (of the property)... "

Succession of Jean Paillet. Originally from Commune of Martigue, Bouches du Rhone, France. Married to Catherine Villere, "Creole of the Province." Had ten children, five now living: Antoine 33, Catherine 28, Manette 26, Josephine 24, and Pierre Noel 23. His properties consist of "a house and lot situated in St. Louis Street forming the corner of Chartres Street." His eldest son receives only his legal right in the Succession; the other four children are equal heirs.

A house situated at the corner of St. Louis and Chartres streets, bounded by houses owned by Mme. Widow Mandeville and by Juan Medes, free mulatto, built on a lot 60' by 108', more or less, "constructed of timber with brick cemented over."

House and lot as described above. Property acquired as follows: half from Joseph Conand, act passed before J. B. Garic, February 28, 1776; half from Miguel Royg, act passed before J. B. Garic, January 3, 1778. Note: Latter act missing.
