A typical cottage of the 1830's this was the residence of Elie Victor Jourdain at the time of his death in August 1848. It was acquired in 1849 from his other heirs by his daughter Madame Adelard Blondeau "together with the one story (low) brick house and other dependencies." The house in which Jourdain lived contained a Salon, a dining room, a kitchen, a chamber, another chamber in the attic, a cellar and in the yard a chicken coop.
