Appearers state that they are joint owners for one undivided half each of four lots of ground in the square bounded by Levee, Toulouse, Chartres, and St. Louis streets, designated by the numbers 72, 73, 74, and 75 on a plan deposited in the office of P. Lacoste, notary. Property acquired by Osgood and Johnson in this manner: (1) Isaac Osgood purchased one-half thereof from the Estate of Dominique Seghers, before J. Lisbony, April 6, 1850. (2) Bradish Johnson acquired the other half in several transactions. He inherited one-sixth from his brother George Washington Johnson as one of his legatees. The remaining two-sixths he purchased form his two brothers who were co-legatees, in an act before P. Lacoste, February 6, 1857. It was mutually agreed that through this partition Isaac Osgood should have for his hare Lots No. 72 and 73. Bradish Johnson shall have for his share Lots No. 74 and 75.

Note: Press clipping -- "The buildings thereon consisting of four Lot 76 in a large three story brick building, for each of the four remaining lots, in a large three story brick building in front and a large similar three story brick building in the rear, separated from the front building by a yard."

A lot of ground with buildings on Levee Street, between Toulouse and St. Louis, divided into four lots according to a plan drawn January 17, 1837 by A. d'Hemecourt, and approved by Bourgerol. Said lot measures 84' 1" 6''' front on Levee, by 148' 8" in depth, on the line separating it, towards Toulouse Street from the property formerly belonging to Alexander Milne, Sr., and now belonging to D. Seghers; 73' 9" 4''' on depth on the line that separates the lot towards St. Louis Street from the property belonging to Campanel, f.m.c., and continues irregularly in such a manner that the said lot measures on the rear line 89' 2" 6''' of width. With the two storied brick house and all other edifices, buildings and dependencies.

A lot of ground on Levee Street, between St. Louis and Toulouse streets, having 80' front to the Levee and facing the river, by a depth of about 140', bounded on one side by the property of Alexander Milne, and on the other by that of Campanelle. With the two story brick house now on the front of the site, and all other buildings. This property was acquired in two portions: (1) A lot measuring 75' from Andres Almonester y Roxas and his wife, Mme. Luisa de Laronde, by act before Carlos Ximenes, January 16, 1795. (2) A strip of ground measuring 5' from Joseph de Pontalba, by act before Pedro Pededslaux, June 6, 1796. The house and other buildings belong to the vendor because he erected them.
