Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:
No change: green. In 1831 the builder James Longrea was hired to add a second floor, an attic floor and a 2-story kitchen to the existing 1-story building at this address. Today this Transitional style porte-cochere building has the 20th-century addition of a full third floor in its middle section and front façade openings which have been altered over the years (the ground floor ones during the late19th century). Also included at this address is a second service building, i.e., a 3-story detached brick kitchen at the rear of the property.
