Yellow with blue stripes to blue. See 613-615 Royal. 613-15 Royal: Main building -- green with blue stripes; courtyard structures -- brown : to : main building -- blue; courtyard structures -- brown. This c. 1832 3-story masonry Transitional style building, now the site of the Court of Two Sisters, and the adjacent building at 609-11 Royal were built in 1832 by Zenon Cavalier, president of the Banque de l'Orleans. The delicate detailing, including the garlanded wooden cornice and the wrought iron balconies, point to the work of architects Gurlie and Guillot. Since the late 19th-century the property has best been known for its spacious courtyard, which accentuates the Creole design of the rear arches.

"The solidly built brick building whose ground floor now houses the 'Antiques Creole,' is a twin structure to the more famous one next door. In its upper apartments lived Andre Bienvenu Roman, twice governor of Louisiana and a prominent sugar planter from the parish of St. James. When in New Orleans his upstairs apartments were frequently the scene of brilliant social soirees, and he delighted in giving sumptuous banquets to notables visiting the city. It was Governor Roman who had the State of Louisiana officially subscribe to John James Audubon's mammoth volumes, 'The Birds of Louisiana,' so when the bird artist re-visited the Crescent City in 1837, planter Roman was host to Audubon at dinner served in these upstairs apartments which was attended by the foremost folk of New Orleans. Such a rich meal was in marked contract to the reception Audubon received during the dreary days of 1821 when he trod the banquettes of the narrow streets."
