Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:
Proposed change: lakeside portion -- green; riverside portion -- brown : to : whole building -- green . Originally this building was a late Italianate (c. 1880) 2-story structure, which was similar to the neighboring building at 831 Orleans. In the 20th century, however, a side addition with driveway was constructed, obliterating the proportions of this side-hall plan structure and infilling a portion of the second floor gallery. [N.B: Over-the-driveway addition has been removed.]
