Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:
Proposed change: main building -- green; courtyard infill -- brown : to : main building -- green (courtyard infill is gone). This is a c. 1830 2½-story masonry townhouse which has elements typical of the Transitional style. A pedestrian passageway leads to the rear loggia, interior court and semi-attached service wing. Of particular architectural merit is the extant original millwork such as the transoms at the second level. The cast iron gallery is a mid-19th century addition.
