"A lot of ground designated as lot No. 5, measuring 19' 3" front on Rampart Street by 126' 4", it is interjoined to the property of Mr. Loze and Widow Seuzeneau and on the other side by the property of Vallery Avart to a depth of 60' then opens 38', bounded by Vallery Avart and Jahan, then runs 5' towards the property of Widow Reynolds and widens again 35' more next to Widow Reynolds, then on a line running in depth 34' next to Mr. Jahan, then at right angles 7' 6" next to Mr. Jahan then following a line 35' in depth next to Mr. R. Dundas, then at right angle 8' 2" next to Mr. Lanoix and a further depth of 2' 4" also next to Mr. Lanoix, then on a line 91' 9" next to lot 4 and being the back limit of lot 5 with a small brick house covered with tiles, also a well enclosed with planks. The said portion of land above described is composed of lots Nos. 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11 on a plan by Carlos Laveau Trudeau, June, 1801, annexed to an act and deposited in the office of Pierre Pedesclaux, entitled "Diligencias practicadas para el remate del antigua cementerio", according to which plan forms the l'islet of the ancient cemetery of this city, bounded by Burgundy, Toulouse, St. Peter and Rampart streets and the said land was divided into twelve lots, by surveyor Trudeau, numbering 1 to 12."
