Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:
Old rating: main and kitchen -- green; new rating: main and kitchen -- green; c. 1983 two-story service-type building on the lake side property line -- orange. This c. 1830 four-bay (window-door-door-window) masonry Creole cottage was first renovated by Koch and Wilson Architects in the 1960s by the removal of a non-original side addition and restoration of the right side wall, and later in 1983 by the same firm, which then added a new two-story service-type building on the lake side between the main and kitchen buildings. 531 Barracks. No change: no rating. Vacant lot.
