Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:

All buildings -- yellow : to : main house -- green; rear shed and small side garage -- brown. Late Italianate double cottage (brick with stuccoed front façade), which has a shallow projecting roof, creating a covered front gallery; simple box columns, which over the years have been unfortunately altered by the addition of brick piers; and pilastered entrances on the front façade. The building evidently was constructed c. 1880 as an investment by the Merchants Mutual Insurance Co.
